![]() Released back in 2008, it was Bethesda's first foray into the Fallout universe (1 and 2 were the work of Black Isle Studios), expanding on the open-world RPG freedom of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion to deliver a sprawling, dizzyingly rich post-apocalyptic jaunt through The Capital Wasteland.Īn "embarrassment of riches" is what Eurogamer called Fallout 3 in 2008, describing it as a "thrilling, all-consuming experience that will absorb you for weeks. ![]() However, I rather doubt they'll want to bother with it given that they've moved on to new projects. If you can somehow still look at your gaming backlog without being consumed by existential dread, here's another two additions for your infinitely expanding pile: Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition and Evoland Legendary Edition, both free next week on the Epic Games Store.įallout 3 likely needs no introduction, given its lofty place in the gaming pantheon. Since I can see that plenty of people have this issue with the new edition, and there's really no good reason for it to be present at all or difficult to fix in any way, I'm considering requesting a patch from Shiro Games. This goes for files of both games I missed "It was an accident" for breaking 20 pots, and "Dungeon Crawler" for finding the Shrine of the Babamut, and no number of pots broken or reentry into the area can fix the issue. The Legendary Edition, for some reason, needs the specific trigger of completing the achievement while online to unlock it. The separate versions of both games, as far as I know, checked whether the conditions for any achievements had been fulfilled every time you loaded your save, and gave them to you right away if you'd missed them. DO NOT PLAY OFFLINE or the achievements that you earned will be missed! You'll have to start a new game to get them. Achievement hunters, be warned! This is a major change from the individual versions. ![]()
